I was born in a small town in China and grew up in suburban Tokyo. I studied design research and creative strategy, receiving my BFA in Integrated Design from Parsons The New School in 2013. I believe designers need to understand various disciplines and processes to tackle complex challenges that we face today. In 2016, I completed my MFA from the School of Visual Arts Products of Design program where I used design as a way to explore controversial social topics, such as assisted suicide. I’m interested in using designed objects and experiences as catalysts for social and environmental change.
I’m also a crazy dog person and am currently designing a line of essential products for dogs and their humans at Bark. These product lines include designs for dog beds, poop bags, all natural treats, training pads and more. I also enjoy long walks and hiking in the woods with my dog, Dragon. Follow our adventures on Instagram @dragonthestaffy ! I would love to talk about your dog, my dog, and dogs in general!
